The Republic of Thieves: Read Along Part III

2890090We are now over the hump of the story, this week we read Chapter 6 thru Interlude “Aurin and Amadine”. With twists happening in both major plot lines a lot has happened. Locke and Jean face the wrath of Sabetha in five year game plot. In the Interlude the group is fixing a broken acting company on lies that may backfire, while Locke is still trying to mend and court Sabetha all at the same time some mixed success. Republic of Thieves Read Along- Part I

About a Month ago I posted THIS post about my conflict concerning the Game of Thrones books, and the HBO series. I was in a dilemma about whether I keep on reading the books past season three or stick to following right along with the show like I did for season one and two.

It was tough because season three of the HBO show ends a little past the half way mark in the third book.  (more…)

The Hunger Games

Tomorrow this movie comes out and everyone has been so hyped up about it I decided to read the book.

With much speculation my original thoughts were ok great another twilight book, which I enjoyed at the time but would not really want to read the same plot again with different circumstances.

However I very much liked the Hunger games. The thought of some chick going around shooting people always leads to good times. (more…)

The Pirate King

The Pirate King by R.A Salvatore is another book from the endless list of legendary Drizzt Du’Urden novels. I have been trying to catch up with all of these books but as soon I finish a book of his he comes out with another one. The Pirate King is the second in the Transitions series.

It starts off a few months or so after the end of The Orc King. Drizzt and Regis plan a trip to go visit Wulfgar back in Icewind Dale. On the way the run into the Harpells family who are turning fugitives of the town near their mansion into animals. This leads to a conflict and discussion between Drizzt and Regis on how much one should be involved with cities policies even if they do not think it is right. (more…)


True Blood Fun

For fun i created a fake brochure that would promote a book signing for her new book that came out a few months ago.  This was my frist time using Adobe InDesign. In the brochure has pictures i edited i little bit in Adobe Photoshop and used different gradients and colors to try to make it a little visual appealing.

Lies of Locke Lamora

The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch is the first of supposedly seven books. The book came out in 2006. This is by far my favorite book. (more…)
